Managing Your Cloud resources

CloudSnooze provides 4 methods to manage your resource and save costs. The method you choose for any particular application or virtual machines depends on your business model and application or virtual machine usage.

Do you support business critical applications that need to be shutdown in a structured manner or in sequence to eliminate any loss of data, the Real-time managed option would meet your needs.

This option is particularly suitable to ERP environment where different systems in an environment execute part of a whole transaction and shutdown requires that applications and VMs are stopped in a structured order to ensure data integrity.

Advantages and disadvantages  are detailed in section xxx
Where your application is simple and does not have the complexity that is inherent with ERP applications and simple analysis of CPU and Memory utilization pattern is enough to determine systems usage activity then the Pattern matching option is for you.

The schedule option is suitable when you operate in a structured pattern, for example where you know your office hours and can easily set what time to startup and shutdown the systems.

Finally the hybrid resource management method combines all methods for resource management. A classic example would be in an ERP environment with very large Non-production footprint.
Using the hybrid resource management ensures that CloudSnooze considers all options before snoozing the system. Note that using the hybrid method does not affect the ability to switch on the server at anytime.
